Volunteer

Volunteering is not only a great thing you can do for your community but also looks great on a resume as well as adding to your list of skills and qualifications.

Volunteer where you would like to work, or with an organization that you would like to support, or anywhere you would like to make a difference.  Yes, you can try to volunteer where you would like to work!  You can learn valuable skills while showing a potential employer that you are reliable, trustworthy and competent.  It is possible you could be offered a job that way.  (But do not go there counting on that.  Bills need to get paid too!  I suggest that you offer your time on a part-time basis while working somewhere else.)
